Featured Neighborhood

Upper East Side

The Upper East Side of Manhattan has a reputation for generational wealth, elegance, and exclusivity, as it was once home to families such as the Rockefellers, the Roosevelts, and the Kennedys.  A refined section of the city stretching from 59th street to 96th street and from Central Park East to the East River.  It is home to a number of world-renowned art museums, Michelin-starred restaurants, and chic designer boutiques.  For example the Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the world’s leading cultural institutions.  That in addition to Guggenheim Museum, Frick Collection, and Natural History Museum, make it a place you can spend several days touring.

9:30 am → Breakfast

Sarabeth's (Central Park South)

Between adventures in Central Park, visiting local museums, and nearby shopping a trip to Sarabeths is a must.  Sarabeth’s was founded in 1981 by Sarabeth Levine and has since grown to five locations in the borough of Manhattan.  Popularly known for their weekend brunch, it is also a great dinner destination and a New York City landmark for visitors from around the world.  Their breakfast menu features incredible pancakes and French toast, to home fries and park and apple sausages, as well as classic American fare.

Maps / Directions

To get from The Mark Hotel to Sarabeth's for brunch, we recommend one of two routes.

  • Option 1, "The Scenic Route," will take you through Central Park. This is great if you haven't seen Central Park or want to take a beautiful walk and work up an appetite.
  • Option 2 on the other hand, "Alongside the Park," is a straight shot down down Central Park East and likely a faster and more straightforward journey.

Option 1: The Scenic Route

Option 2: Alongside the Park
